Shimming or CA is the appropriate technique. Tapping tuning pins is =
an
archaic technique that should have been shelved when tapered tuning =
pins
were no longer used, IMO. The most important part of the tuning pin, =
in
regards to tightness, is the top surface contact, not the bottom. =
(Think
about exposed pinblocks.....why do they tune so nice? Because the =
t.p.
doesn't flag pole so much and because it is tight at the top of the =
