Epoxy is used as
an adhesive. Spread unfilled epoxy on the end-grain of the beam and let =
it soak
for a few minutes, brushing on more as needed to keep a wet surface. =
Fill some
epoxy with wood flour to a peanut butter consistency and spread it on =
the end of
the beam and on the surface of the inner rim and wedge the beam into =
place.
Clean up the squeeze out and allow the mix to cure. Drill at a diagonal =
through
the beam and into the inner rim and/or the bellyrail and install two =
1/2" dowels
each top and bottom.</FONT></DIV>
