Hello to all. =

The Schiller Co. was founded in Oregon, Ill. =
in 1892.
Frederick George Jones was born in Canada in 1847
and was a =
stock holder
from the beginning. Soon he
bought all the stock and owned entire =
Company.
By 1912 the Co. was producing 6000 Pianos a year.
He =
had
three Sons Geo. H., Edgar and Cyrus who all
worked in the factory. =
He
died in 1913. In some manner
Geo. Jones was able to use the =
patents
of J. Bauer in
his grands.
The scale ' E' a 5,4 =
in.
Grand was their best and
most popular Grand
The Schiller used both the =
W.N.G. and
Strauch Bros.
actions and perhaps others.
The ' E ' scale had 13 =
single and
14 double strings in
the bass. =
This
Piano is most surely worth rebuilding if you
compare, after a =
quality
rebuild, to anything new on
the market at $10.000 or =
under.
Especially if you
consider durability. The wood used to build this =
Piano
is so much superior to 98% of the pianos build today =
that
it could easily outlast them 3 times over. =
At
some point The Schiller Co. was Affiliated with
Conover Bros. =

Hope
this helps,
Jack Wyatt
