this is so late, but I just returned from the Pacific Northwest =
Conference in
Spokane and Phil Glenn of Young Chang was there. I asked =
him, for
you, about Cline pianos. It appears it is one of those stencil =
pianos that
has gone from one manufacturer to the next. It was, at one time, =
made my
Young Chang, but most recently by Samick. That is why the serial =
number
looks like a Samick number. </SPAN></FONT></DIV>

interesting thing about Stencil pianos: Anyone who wants to =
buy a
bulk of pianos, say 50 or so, may have the manufacturer put their name =
on
them. Now, of course not every manufacturer allows this sort of =
thing, but
Most Korean companies (and I bet Chinese) welcome it. Schemer =
&
Sons was a family owned business that had a lot of pianos out =
there. Also
Weber. Grassi Pianos. Nah, too many jokes about what's =
growing
inside the piano! Hope this sheds some light on the subject. =
