The of Manufacturing new pianos is the same deal. Each technical process revolves around the timetable of the finish dept. You don't buy a new piano in black brown or unfinished. The beauty of the finish in a  new or rebuilt piano is a key component to the beauty, worth, desirability and of course the sale of the instrument.</BLOCKQUOTE>   I would like to see a series of articles on the subject. You don't have to read them just like I don't read articles on tuning. If it's not your focus be assured it may be someone else's. But refinishing or just  knowing how to remove dents, nicks, or scratches help produce income and keep customers happy. </BLOCKQUOTE> . That is the point I was trying to make. We are piano technicians. The other aspects of our business are important, but there are professional magazines devoted specifically to those aspect of our work.
