<p>With my interest in efficiency, I finally asked myself, "How many of
my copious notes do I actually refer to again?" The answer, very
few. It is so easy for me to put the pen in gear and write down even
stuff I already know! Nowadays I ask myself, "Will I <i>ever</i>
look at this again?" If the answer is no, I try not to write it down,
which has cut my convention notes down to about two pages per convention.
<p>I'm sure it makes a difference, though, how long one has been in the
profession and how many conventions one attends. I think I've attended
two conventions every year since I went fulltime ten years ago. After
a while you do reach the saturation point in some areas.
<p>If you're thinking I could be a lot more efficient by not writing so
much stuff on the pianotech list, you're right, and I know it, and I'm
thinking about it. :-)
