:)... Ah... thanks for your answer Gerald. I read into your post that perhaps
the violin list is similiar to our piano list in the type of discussions
going on relative to instrument construction as well. Perhaps the lists
have more in common in the end then the instruments themselves do.

correct versus modern techniques . The violin list has much
more discussion on varnish and modal analysis of soundboard vibrations
(e.g. Chladni and others) There are discussions on physics fo string
motion. And much speculation about the mystery and assumed superiorority
