Heavily doped hammers respond poorly to steam and are usually back
to where they were in no time flat.<br>
It's the water proofing of the hammer felt, that causes the
problem. Secret to S & S tone.<br><br>
Steinway's that are obnoxiously bright I drench in acetone a
couple of times.<br><br>
