Roslyn Tureck was indeed a great interpreter of Bach, and will justly be rem=
embered as such. She could also be a real pistol to work with if condi=
tions were not to her liking, though always performing at her best. Th=
e orchestra of the Peninsula Music Festival in Door County WI, still talks a=
bout the time she was the featured soloist for a week--one of the percussion=
players took to hiding so that he wouldn't be sent for her coffee..........=
.! We'll all miss her.<BR>
