However, beings self-employed there are deductions. Vehicle mileage (business portion), home office/expenses, insurance, PTG dues and convention expenses, Record keeping is important. I use Quicken for the accounts, it imports right into TurboTax and your taxes are done in relatively short time. When it comes time for a quarterly tax payment, I generate a quarterly report in Quicken, subtract business expenses from income and send 25% to the Fed and 5% to the state of Mass. It's like they say, there's two things which are certain in this like, death and watching you hard earned money be pissed away foolishly by politicians. I never changes. So, first few hours of my work today will be extorted for the special interests of our elected officials. And to think, the Revolutionary War was started over a 3% tax. They would absolutely flip ! I need to get to work now, Air Force II is logging a lot of miles . . . Keep your nose to the grind stone and your shoulder on the wheel and you will have a flat nose and rounded shoulders.
