There's plenty of crown out the back of the bridge, but the board is =

normal scale
or to a pure logarythmic scale (as in old Italian harpsichords, where =
the
speaking length doubles for each octave)? Would a pure logarythmic scale =
work
for a modern piano? I guess that also means you can string it with a =
single wire
size for the log part (until you get to shortened speaking lengths / =
bass
strings).</DIV>

<DIV dir=ltr>- Regarding front duplexes: what is the advantage of =
making the
metal termination behind the agraffe diagonal, giving different lengths =
for the
duplex (which in your pianos, if I understood correctly, is =
specifically
not tuned to any partial of the speaking length), rather than putting a =
single
continuous metal bar behind the agraffes? Is there a need for the front =
duplex
segments to have a certain length, or can they be made as short as =
possible
(say1,5-2cm)?</DIV>
