She is = happy with the tone but describes the action as  VERY  difficult to play. = The Steinway dealer has arranged for several visits by some very = qualified techs representing both the dealer and the manufacturer. She is = satisfied with the sincerity  of their efforts but is still very unhappy with the piano. I meet her at another older  Steinway L  in good condition that she found acceptable so I believe her expectations = are realistic.   </FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>    I remember a thread = some time ago about pinning problems with this vintage Steinway.  Assuming = the usual friction problems have been addressed, I.E. balance rail holes ,key = bushings, keypins, capstans, knuckles etc. and regulation is correct  would action center  pinning be my most likely area of focus ? = Possible action geometry problems ? </FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>    My post is = somewhat premature not having seen the piano yet, but perhaps those servicing = more new Steinway's than I can direct me to some potential problem = areas.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>    As always your = collective comments appreciated.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>            Tom Driscoll RPT</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>    = </FONT></DIV></BODY></HTML>
