Unfortunately no, hotel work is done under fixed contracts and there are
no "trades" possible for rooms in exchange for work. Much of the
hotel work also includes moving the pianos as well with the exception of
the lounges, show rooms, and restaurants. Airline packages are largely
connected to hotels either because the hotel is a major stock investor
in the airline or because they have a contractual agreement for packages.
<p>The chapter would love nothing more than to pay the way in full for
guests but unfortunately that would exhaust our financial resources in
a real hurry. So far our outside guests have been friends who were
willing to visit Las Vegas to have fun and willing to take a few hours
of time to give a chapter presentation during their visit. We in
exchange have offered some personal gratitude such as dinner and a free
tour or whatever as a thank you. We could possibly arrange for a
free place to stay in a local tech's home. Hopefully this would be
appealing to someone who is looking for some fun while hanging out with
some fellow techs for a while.
