Hi Terry,
I carry several.

1. the standard yamaha tool. Highly recommended. The 3
needles align very nicely with most agraffe holes, aka the string grooves
that end up on the hammer. The octagonal wooden handle
makes it have a nice feel

2. "Big Bertha" a custom made tool with a heavy
solid brass handle, excellent for getting in deep on rock hard Asian
hammers.

3. an 1/8th" brass rod chopstick needle, for needling the strike
points through the strings.

4. a Japanese set tof finger needles for verticals.
