I was using StarOffice, originally from Germany, for about 6 years but then Sun Microsystems bought the code and decided to start charging for it. Then I learned that OpenOffice, from the free "open source" movement, was actually feeding StarOffice code. Now I am using OpenOffice all the time and love it OpenOffice runs on Windows xx, Mac, UNIX and Linux, and others Basically, Mozilla is the same thing as Netscape because Netscape is taken directly from Mozilla's code. Mozilla runs on Windows xx, Mac, UNIX and Linux, and others As far as AVG Antivirus, it's always been free and updated monthly. Once you register with them, they will send you a notification when the "checking file" has been updated. Just download it, install it and you are updated. As far as I know, AVG Antivirus only runs on Windows xx and Mac.
