<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Hi Cy,</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>It's veeery interesting to watch this =
little
rebellion over signatures. I always hated nicknames myself, and I =
never
used them, even in their hayday when the anonymity of the Internet =
first
caught on. Why call myself anything but my proper =
name?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>But having said that, there are a lot =
of people who
like to hide behind nicknames (or screen names, in AOL-speak). I'm =
not
sure I see any harm in this, although it still seems peculiar to =
me. If
there is any harm, it is the harm these people do to themselves, not =
only
damping their credibility but also missing business opportunities. =
People
like Terry Farrell, for instance, are building important business
relationships on this list, seeking to sell their services to
colleagues. Tuna and Topper are (is?) missing out =
on this
opportunity. Their (his?) loss. I don't understand it, but I =
still
don't see the harm. If I were one of you professionals, I think my =
sig
line would have not only my proper name and location, but also my =
address,
phone, and business web site link! That's only good business
sense.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT size=2>It's kinda silly, since I think everyone here =
