Have any of you tried servicing a =
"Juke-Box"

was said

Yes, Wurtilizer [sic] had a bad =
reputation for
making pianos that were difficult to get into, having panels that were =
Chinese
puzzles to remove, etc., then they changed that (not 'til the 70's or =
80's)
and ran an ad campaign in the Journal showing how they were now "open =
for
business". The thing I hate on most Wurlies is the "ledge" =
or
"shelf" in the plate casting that prevents getting a temerament strip =
in very
far, especially just above the mid-treble break.

Then there are the =
pianos
(maybe not all of them Wurlitzers) that have the non-full length =
bottom
panel. You can get to the pedals to adjust lost motion all =
right, but if
a pedal rod (dowel) comes off a trap lever, or if you have to remove =
trap
levers for any reason, they're a long awkward reach thru the =
cobwebs in
the dark to get at!! David Nereson, =
