One is across the bass strings. = It's actually nice because the strings make a straight beeline from bridge = pin to tuning pin--no agraffs, no upper pins, no sharp angles, etc. The hitch = pins for the longest strings on both bridges are smack up against the bottom = board and hard to see or get to behind the pedal trapwork.
