only wished to
specify what my idea of "new action" is. Some so-called new =
actions I've
seen had only new butts and new damper felts. It never occurs =
to some
techs to replace abstract felt or jack springs or even hammer =
return
springs. Replacing damper levers is almost unheard of. I =
started out
replacing the damper flanges only years ago but found it more =
satisfactory to
replace the whole lever. </FONT></SPAN><SPAN
class=203294203-24012004><FONT color=#0000ff size=2>Some "new =
actions" didn't
get all the flanges replaced. I think it is a
must.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

is impossible to replace stickers and most of the wippens in actions we
restore. If I could find someone to make brand new stickers at the =
correct
lengths or wippens that matched the player wippens found in players, I =
would
replace the complete action. At this time those two items must be
kept. Tongues also come in more than one length so often I must =
keep those
as well. Only one length is available from piano supply
co's.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>
