forcefully. I had checked all the regulation things, and was

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>It was a broken key. I feel =
pretty chagrined
as I had been called to this piano several years ago to repair some =
vandalism
damage including several broken keys. They hadn't had the piano =
checked
again since despite several followup calls. Why I didn't =
think of
this must be laid to temporary brain paralysis. The key in =
question was
undoubtedly cracked. The crack began right at the button which did =
tend to
hide it. The crack continued halfway down the key, but was not =
obvious
until the key was stressed. A bit of shimming, a bit of glue and
Voila!</FONT></DIV>
