sections
(capo) had no felt between the front bearing bar and the tuning pins, =
allowing
that segment to vibrate. There is a well about 1/4" deep cast in =
the plate
in this area, but this area is flat, not convex, like the other plate =
segments
that have string underlayment felt right up to the bearing =
bar.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT size=2>Should it have string braid, or underlayment =
felt? I can
see no previous sign of either... and the treble unisons are hard =
to tune,
with that trashy noise...</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT size=2>Recommended octave styles are also welcomed... it =
was about a
26-note bass, with no wound strings on the treble.</FONT></DIV>
