<html> John, The RX grands replaced the KG and GS grands in 1995. They are the main line of grand pianos, with the GM and GE pianos being lower cost. The Shigeru Kawai pianos are the same designs as the RX 2 through RX 7, called SK-2 through SK-7.  These pianos use better materials in some parts, and are hand made pianos.  They have low temperature pressed hammers, hand-wound bass strings, long term air-dried soundboard spruce, etc.  The pianos are assembled, tuned and voiced by Kawai's concert technicians in limited quantities (maximum of about 200 per year). The SK-5 is very similar to the RX-A, but I think the bass tone has been improved a bit. Sorry, I don't know anything about pricing.
