<html> Or alternatively get a piece of thin piano wire about six inches long, bend it in two,  you can make a handle for the wire ends if you like, then push the bent end through the knuckle just under the leather, thread your bolstering material in the loop and pull it through.  I usually do three or four knuckles at a time, trimming off each one as I go.  The whole set can be done in less than an hour. It is essentially a rounded point, (dull), type of needle with a really big eye. So, you are less apt to accupuncture yourself and it is easier to thread.
