<html> Dave, So, what do you mean by an unyielding birds-eye?  I am amazed at the assumptions people make.  I guess you haven't been to my action centers class yet . . . An ABS birds-eye is much, much more yielding than a wood one.  I have taken out #21 pins from Kawai parts and replaced them with #26 just to try it.  It is a little hard to push it in, but there is very little risk of breaking the part. The ABS is so durable especially because of the 'B' - Butadene, which makes the material quite, well, rubbery.  You can sometimes push through a larger pin, then go back a 1/2 size again if you made a mistake and it will still be tight.
