IMO, = aftertouch should be the ultimate criteria. So what if the dip is 9mm? Seems like a = no brainer, to me. If everything else is functioning properly and you don't = get bobbling with a shallower dip....go for it. Many pianists dislike a dip = at 10mm. Some prefer it as shallow as is feasible. Speed will increase, but power = will suffer, slightly.
