This sounds possibly like a drill and plug with delignit 1/2" plugs kinda of job? Especially if the open faced block is angled or has more than one flange shelf like some Chickerings.<BR>

I wouldn't be suprised to find that to be true Wim. I replaced a keybed in a similar Knabe a while back and it was morticed into the rim. It came apart easy enough - thanks to diligent termites. Putting it back together was indeed a bit of work.<BR>

I'll look forward to this pinblock - it definately has to go - pin dope all over the place. Hey, if it went in, it must come out - and go back in! Where there is a will, there is a way.<BR>
