measure off the stretcher (which is not always parallel to the bellyrail)
from the left, or bass, side. That is, my 60º is 30º off perpendicular

<p><br>Spine referes to the long side of the grand methinks. Never ran
into another way of measuring soundboard angle in the literature I have
run into, but then standard proceedures and terminology dont seem to have
a chance in the piano world it would seem.
