I am going to replace the bass strings in a little =
Steck grand
(I can't recall the size), which is remaining in the client's =
home. I want
to add some tenor wound strings as the piano has a very bad case of =
"tenor
tubbies" - by memory, the bass/tenor break is at notes 27/28 - too =
low for
a piano of this size. I am experienced in rescalling these =
strings.

Question: Do you see any problems with drilling the =
plate for
additional hitchpins while the piano is strung and at pitch? I =
have not
done this in someone's home before. Of course, I will have to =
discuss it
with the client first otherwise I think she might freak when I get out =
my big
drill and start drilling holes in her piano!
