Here at Humboldt we don't 'rent' the recital hall because we don't have the authority to rent a University facility. The recital hall can be used (although time is in extremely short supply) by on-campus groups or others who are invited by the Music Dept. and are therefore under our 'umbrella'. We do charge for equipment use and stage support as may be needed. $40 for a 'D', $30 for other grands, and $20 for an upright. (These include tuning!?!) These fees are many years old, and are certainly a fantastic deal for the users. Facilities Director types here agree that they need to be re-assessed, but there are so many other burning issues that no one gets around to it.
