Hi Michelle,

Well, breaking one makes the replacement more palatable, no?

Take note of the old screw location marks so you can replicate the location o
the new brackets.

SOme older actions have shims between the bracket and the rail for location
purposes.

Check alignment left to right before securing the screws.

If the bracket screws are super tight so they will not turn easily you can turn
the action upside down and drop one, mind you one, drop of Liquid Wrench or
diesel fuel or kerosene onto the screw and leave it for a day or two.
