of making a new rail does anyone have a favorite system for rebushing
these? >>

I have tried 4 different ways, they all will work, but all are trouble.
1. with a thin exact-o blade, cut the glue joint between the felts and
tweeze out the center part
2. give the bushings a good shot of CA glue, allow to dry, and drill an
appropriate size hole for the new cloth
3. glue two strips of felt together, the outer one very thin, the inner one
normal thickness, and rebush with that.
4. With a hot soldering gun, using a round tip, scorch the inside bushing
cloth and pull out.
Good luck,
