I only remember seeing these in Steinways and I've always just used extra quality cloth tack glued in and sized with bridge pins for the appropriate damper wire size. I'm wondering why it needs to be double and not just thick/sized to wire size. Explain? Thanks. We've had varying degrees of success rebushing these over the years. Short of making a new rail does anyone have a favorite system for rebushing these?
