Garret E. Taylor asked me a personal question on the CAUT list, so I'll have to answer it the same way. NO, I was NOT one of the boys who poured paint on that statue more than fifty years ago. My friends and I pulled our share of pranks in our time, but destructive stuff was NOT our idea of "fun". The way we saw it, those guys got caught - had to clean it up themselves - served them right. There was one fellow we would not go out with, nor let him in the group when we went somewhere. It was simply a matter statistics. Whenever he was in the group, something bad would happen. It always did. If it didn't just happen out of the blue, he would make it happen. Jim Ellis
