    I ran what I wrote past my chair, who is active with NASM (serves on
accreditation teams). Here is his response, which I expect is more or less
what we will hear back from NASM:

I think the language is great but it is unlikely to pass because of the
many smaller schools who simply won't have the budget to handle this. On
the other hand, accreditation criteria like this are needed to get
appropriate funding. I think it's a good thing to forward.
