A customer calling to cancel an appointment:

"The piano's only a half-step flat, so I don't think it's out of tune enough 
for you to come out just yet."

I always enjoy a clever joke, but she wasn't kidding.  I started to tell her 
that she was misinformed, but she said she was in a hurry to get off the 
phone, so I gave up.  I suspect it was a lost cause in any case.
