I don't measure aftertouch at the key, but rather as a function of what happens at the hammer after drop. So, I have no idea what .030" aftertouch does to the feel of the piano. I just don't think of it that way. That said, our Ds get thunderous power from .390" dip (naturals) and somewhere around 1 3/4" hammer blow (ahem, or whatever gets me the escapement relationship I'm after), and repetition is lightening fast. I'm not a trained pianist, but keydip much over 13/32" (.406") begins to feel clumsy to me. I'm under the persuasion that power is generated more by the resiliency of the hammer than the blow distance. In Nashville, the Steinway techs said they are now recommending and using .400 on everything.
