[CAUT] lid install

I have a Bosendorfer customer needing a new lid.  When it arrives, it
must be "fitted".  I was wondering if anyone has experience with this.
The lid must be aligned to the lock, then marked for screw locations for
the hinges.  How does one go about accurately doing this?  I also have
an old Baldwin needing new hinges (exact original dimensions not
available) and I need to do basically the same thing.  Thanks in
advance.
