Speaking of breaking strings. I've always been leery about the proximity of my neck and strings on a square grand. Although I've not heard of any terminal squares. On a side note, back in the training days in the shop, a joke we would often pull on one another tuning a vertical would be to sneak up behind the piano (open back) and snap a flex steel on the board. Makes one panic for a second and even the blind tuner found guarded humor in it. -- Regards, Jon Page
