To order a string which will match it's neighbors in wrap placement
measure hitch pin to winding and subtract 1/8". Measure length of
winding and subtract 1/4".

If it's for a missing single string, measure to a line (ruler edge) connecting
its neighbors. Give core and wrap measurements for them as well and the
note designation in question, the string maker can take it from there.
