Paul,

 

Method 1; Hot iron with wet cloth (steam) then grab one corner and
"twist" them off. I've never had a problem. (Are they really ivory?)

 

Method 2; Don Peterson's jig is very accurate for cutting them off. I
don't know if the "Genesis" jig is still available but it works well
too.

What is the most efficient way to remove ivory key fronts without taking
wood off? (or at least taking a uniform trace of wood off?)
