[CAUT] MTNA Competitions

This echoes my experience when USC hosted the southeastern MTNAs back in 1989.  It was my first year on the job.  Though noone gave me any wine, I did get a very nice thank you letter from the MTNA, and from our faculty member who was responsible for the event.

  IC hosted the regional competition about 2 years ago. It was a lot of extra work and overtime but they were very appreciative. Things went smoothly. It helped a lot that several of our piano faculty are involved in MTNA and two of them chaired the competition. Also, I got a couple of nice bottles of wine as a token thank you! :-)

    Hi all-


    Do any of you have experience to share regarding working for the MTNA Competitions?  That is happening in our building this weekend, so I've been preparing all week.  This is my first shot with that organization.  I'm on call the entire weekend and retune everything over the graveyard shift each day.  They held a guest room for me on campus so at least there is no driving back and forth from home.
