That's why I keep responding. I misused a word that most of the world understands the way I did: when you amplify a sound, it typically gets louder, and you all got completely silly about it and took off on this tangent. I was trying to convey something AS I UNDERSTOOD IT AT THE TIME, ok? I wasn't trying to mislead anyone about anything. I meant that the sound got louder. Jeff
