Holly was the last one I know about as well from some parts in late spring
this year.

Shannon's been gone a few years, and Chad Fry left this spring. Terry

his card where I am now.

E-mail Shanon Rebele at SRebele at steinway.com. You'll get through much
faster. I do believe the "topstick tongue" is the same as the short stick,
and it comes in a satin ebony finish.

BTW, when I was at UA, a lot of voice performers wanted the lid lower than
the short stick, but not all the way down. So for a while they put a black
board eraser under the lid. Then someone suggested I cut a nickel lid prop
down to about 5", and screw it on the lid prop. Worked great. I put one on
three of the performing pianos, and they were used constantly

I need to order a short stick for a Steinway D. In the parts catalog, I
see a
topstick tongue. Is that the same thing as the short stick?
Also, it comes as ebony finished if wanted - I wonder if that will be
gloss or
satin. If it's high polish I'll have to rub it out to a satin. Steinway
parts
dept. just had an answering machine and they haven't called back.
