[CAUT] Life Saver Systems on Vertical Classroom Pianos

Paul,
Been busy for the last couple of days. Doc says I "should" be ok now, but the jury is still out. lol
Only memory on this one is from a NY school install (5 yammys). I made sure that there was a "quick" disconnect at the piano.
Set up a super secure plug on the piano which, upon common sense of careful piano repositioning in the room not being followed,
the wire would disconnect withough breaking the cord in the mid section. A simple (inexpensive)H-Duty conector system/extension cord.
Down side of that install was once the unit was unplugged it was never re-pluged. A given in 99.99999% of the universe of institutional situations.
If you wish, I can look in my files, respec the modification and post it.
Additional issue was the sloshing effects of rolling the piano around the room.

Hmmmmm. Maybe creating a smaller opening on the water tank? Cutting a 5/8 - 3/4" slot in a spare deflector to allow the pads to sneak through, out of the tank and over the humidifier bar then taping it (sealing it) to the tank with some 1" wide electrical tape...... just thinking out loud on possible concerns & solutions.

Hope this is helpful.
Best,
Gerry Cousins
