Put in a BIG room humdifier. Set a swamp cooler in the hallway. Fill it with a bucket. Plug it in. I know it's sounds ridiculous but so is what is happening. It's really a good idea when compared to lighting a piano on fire and claiming it was spontaneous combustion because of the low humidities. Attract some attention. <GRIN> On Wed, Jan 12, 2011 at 10:04 PM, David Skolnik <davidskolnik at optonline.net>wrote: > Fred - > Thanks for correcting my misinformation. > David Skolnik > > > > At 01:50 PM 1/12/2011, you wrote: > >> On Jan 12, 2011, at 11:21 AM, David Skolnik wrote: >> >> Room humidifiers and/or DamppChasers might be more effective, at >>> least in maintaining pitch. >>> >> >> >> Room humidifiers are ineffective with an active HVAC system.
