Feurich will have a new entry, 280 words. Grotrian and many others are also already in Grove but Sauter was previously overlooked. Can't include everyone though. Sauter maintains a direct family link and has, in my opinion, a corresponding focus on quality and history. Ulrich will have family members to answer to when he reaches the next dimension! Sauter, like Grotrian, has a modern German factory and utilizes modern woodworking technology wherever it makes sense, in contrast to some of the more craft-house oriented makers. This, again in my opinion, has led to their work with materials like titanium etc. In addition to materials, they have been aggressive in expanding the design choices available to piano buyers. The Sauter has an individual tone and extremely consistent high quality and, as has been mentioned, reaches out to the musical community in interesting and creative ways.
