Ted,

Truly, about any story you could tell would be worth hearing! When I've been in your convention classes a couple of times, you've been teaching and started telling a story but then you stopped, saying that you were "getting off track" possibly thinking that we wouldn't like to hear your story, but many of us were at the edge of our seats waiting for such stories! Your "memoir's" are priceless. I don't think anyone else in the world has the wealth of anecdotes that you have to share of "our" world.

While many "on line" may only want to know the best way to do this or that, etc. every now and then a good story about actual human beings keeps me connected to why I became a piano technician; It's less about the piano and more about the human experience. Please don't hesitate to share.

Most respectfully yours,
Jim Busby

Thanks Avery; it's nice to hear from you. I have my own story too, don't we all, but it takes so long to tell I will not bother anyone with it. I came as close to complete disaster as could ever be imagined, but it all came right. I was tuning for a duo piano concert and knew the pianists well. They never knew of the near calamity until I met them many years later and told them.
