Piano Use Policies - Institutional -Reply

Alan Crane asked for piano policy on rentals, etc.  At BYU I work for
the music department and I never charge the department for my
services, but anytime I do anything for any other department (dance,
theatre,etc) or outside organization (someone who rents the concert
hall for a program, such as Word Perfect) they pay the music
department for the tuning, etc.  The money collected goes to the
piano maintenance account and I control the expenditures from that
account.  (That's where the money comes from for Vince and I to
attend the PTG convention every summer.)

We are frequently asked by other departments to provide a piano for
their department activity, and we charge for the tuning and moving.
That money also goes to the piano maintenance account.
