I don't know whether or not this got posted to the list - no one
replied to it so I am going to assume that it didn't and post it a
second time. I sent it around the time that there was somekind
of problem with the server.

These questions were forwarded to me from Belgium. The
sender, Paul Poletti is a fortepiano builder.

Bill, this was posted. I remember reading it.

Now to another topic. Some have asked about the archives.
They got messed up when the list changed servers, and there
was a short period when nothing was archived (until I found out
that it wasn't being done.) The new archives are not in the same
place as the old ones and a web pointer has not been set up for
them yet. They are available from listserv and the <index
pianotech> command will list them for you. They can be
retrieved with the <get> command. For those of you who know a
lot more about this than I do, see if you can find them any other
way that is more convenient, and if so let us know.
Thanks,

Jack Reeves, BYU
