There are just enough nuts out there that the thought of putting my telephone number on the Internet is positively frightening. Besides, will Young Chang be so kind as to pay the fee I pay for an unlisted, unpublished number? And since I pay that fee for reasons of security, will Young Chang also agree to pay for the installation and upkeep of a home security system for me just so they can list my telephone number on the Internet? Frankly, I don't care for the idea of Young Chang's "offer. The PTG has always maintained a hands-off relationship with manufacturers. Maintaining objectivity is difficult when some big company invites you to put your hands into its pockets. If the Board decides that the PTG membership would benefit from a PTG-run Internet connection, fine. I'd welcome a more tangible benefit from my annual dues. Owing its Internet access to the generosity of any manufacturer--whether it's pianos or felt--can only be bad business for PTG and its membership. > Don (I assume that you are Don Mannino, but I'm only guessing.)
